The new standard would accommodate the 24/16-inch or 16/12-inch box footprint, and includes specified tab and receptacle sizes and an open top/removable lid, as well as numerous customization options [see "Paper or Plastic?," SN, Feb. 14, 2000]. The trade association, based in Rolling Meadows, Ill., made the announcement during the annual convention here of the United Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Association, Alexandria, Va.
