Perdue Taps Marketing, Sales VP

Evans was director of marketing. He reports to Larry Winslow, vice president and general manager of the Fresh Poultry division.
Dairy Board Re-elects Chairman
WASHINGTON -- Robert Giacomini, a dairy farmer from Point Reyes Station, Calif., was re-elected chairman of the National Dairy Promotion and Research Board here.
Giacomini, previously vice chairman, had been named chairman following the death of James Loper Jr. last year. David Noss, a Port Royal, Pa., dairy farmer, was elected vice chairman, succeeding Giacomini.
Additionally, Sylvia Hemauer, a dairy farmer from Plymouth, Wis., was re-elected secretary; and Robert Gaebe, a dairy farmer from New Salem, N.D., was re-elected treasurer.
The National Dairy Board develops and administers a coordinated program of promotion, research and consumer communications for the dairy industry.
Carolina Turkeys Appoints CEO
MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. -- Thomas E. Howe has been named president and chief executive officer of Carolina Turkeys here.
Don Simon, vice president of plant operations, had been serving as interim president and CEO since the resignation last year of Bob Turley, who left to join another company.
Howe was president of Butterball Turkey Co., Downers Grove, Ill., a division of Omaha, Neb.-based ConAgra.
Cucina Names Sales Manager
LAKEWOOD, N.J. -- Charles DeSando has been named national sales manager for Cucina Classica Italiana here.
In the new post, DeSando coordinates specialty food sales, food service and retail sales throughout the United States. Additionally, he is responsible for sales budgets, advertising targets and marketing programs. He reports to Robert Castellano, vice president.
He was previously regional manager for Otto Roth Co. and national sales coordinator for Burns & Ricker.
