s Inc. has begun shipping Mycelex-7 Disposables, a seven-day treatment for vaginal yeast infections. The new disposable form of Mycelex-7, which switched from prescription to over-the-counter status in June 1992, will include seven disposable applicators and a 1.5-ounce tube of cream.

The new Mycelex-7 Disposables will be priced in line with the product's cream and inserts, which are typically $2 less than other leading brands, according to the company. Mycelex-7 Disposables will be supported through national television and print advertising, as well as a public relations program that will introduce the product to consumers and trade.

VapoRub Cream Is Introduced

CINCINNATI -- Vicks has introduced VapoRub Cream, a greaseless ointment. Like the original VapoRub, VapoRub cream is rubbed on the chest and neck. It relieves coughs and nasal congestion through the inhalation of medicated vapors.

The launch of VapoRub Cream will be supported with an extensive television advertising campaign, a consumer sampling program and promotions. VapoRub Cream will be available in a 2-ounce tube and will have a manufacturer's list price of $2.85.

VapoRub will continue to be available in its original formula.
