More than half the tracks on Asian Lounge have never been released in North America, paving the way for those who like to stay connected with evolving music scenes. Artist information and a recipe for an Asian cocktail are included in the trilingual notes in English, Spanish and French. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this album will be donated to Oxfam America and Novib/Oxfam Netherlands in support of their development efforts in Asia. In addition, all proceeds from the Putumayo albums "New Orleans" and "Mississippi Blues" through the end of the year will be donated to Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. "Having made New Orleans my primary residence a year ago, I feel particularly connected to the music, culture and people of the city," said Dan Storper, Putumayo founder and chief executive officer.

RETRO TEDDY

BURBANK, Calif. -- In celebration of Teddy Ruxpin's 20th anniversary, First National Pictures here will release "The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin," the children's animated television program that originated in 1987, in a series of DVDs, beginning with "The Journey Begins: Volume 1" and "The Journey Continues: Volume 2." First National plans to release the entire series on DVD over the next several years. The title will be supported by a multimedia advertising campaign including Food Network and HGTV, online outlets such as kidsfirst.org, iparenting.com, modernmom.com, dailycandy.com, amazon.com and others, as well as national radio outlets like Radio Disney, ABC Radio Network and Jones Radio Network, and print media. Both volumes will be available on Jan. 17. Each title has a pre-book date of Dec. 9 and is priced at $12.99.

SWEET TRIVIA

ARLINGTON, Va. -- Eat It! Snacks & Sweets Trivia Game by C-ME here is a new and unique board game that is being introduced this fall and features fun trivia about popular foods, from chocolate, candy and cookies to snacks, ice cream and desserts, encompassing thousands of snacks and sweets questions about jingles, advertising campaigns, ingredients, nostalgia, pop culture and more. Food retailers including Big Y Foods, Springfield, Mass.; Stop & Shop Supermarket Co., Quincy, Mass.; and Kerr Drug, Raleigh, N.C., have ordered the game already.
