LUBBOCK, Texas — Market Street has added all-natural cakes and frosting to its bakeries, parent company United Supermarkets announced.
New white and chocolate cakes contain no preservatives, additives, chemicals, artificial flavors or colors and are trans-fat free. The vanilla buttercream frosting can be spruced up with plant- and vegetable-based colorings that are also all-natural.
“Our cakes have always been beautiful and delicious, but we are excited to now offer another healthy option in the cake category for our guests who seeking ingredients that are simple and easy to understand,” Tammy Kampsula, business director of bakery at United Supermarkets, said in a statement.
United Supermarkets bakery locations in West Texas will also offer all-natural buttercream frosting.
