IDDBA has formally launched a series of accessible, entertaining web training videos. The videos cover topics like specialty cakes, cake servings, cake layers and cake occasions.
Aimed at new bakery associates, the short videos introduce the basics of bakery retailing. The videos are all short, under three minutes or so, and are followed by a quiz. If you pass the quiz, you can get a certificate. You can opt out of logging in to the training website, or log in and get transcript information and keep track of which videos you've watched.
The best part of the training website is that it’s multi-platform— built to work on computers, smart phones and tablets, so there’s no need to download apps.
And, the training video selection will expand in future, Alan Hiebert, IDDBA education information specialist, told me today.
