Stew Leonard’s, Whole Foods kick off apple season

Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer, and some retailers have started getting into the fall spirit by highlighting apples on social media.

Stew Leonard’s showed a sign with information about a local grower and asked customers about their favorite apple varieties in a Facebook post.

 

A Whole Foods Market store in Swampscott, Mass., showed off local apples on Instagram.

On Facebook Erewhon Natural Foods Market, Los Angeles, was excited to have organic apples back in the store.

 

Randazzo Fresh Market, a Michigan gourmet market with three locations, called out local Paula Red apples on Twitter.

Mill Valley Market, Mill Valley, Calif., used Instagram to let customers know about apples from a local grower.
