ABINGDON, Va. — K-VA-T Food Stores is running a "best-dressed" pet contest as part of its Paws & Claws pet club. Shoppers who mail or email pictures of their pet dressed up are eligible to win free pet food for a year. The Kibbles 'n Bits brand is sponsoring the contest. The promotion is aimed at generating excitement in the pet club. K-VA-T operates stores 92 stores under the Food City banner.
