Sprouts Supports Shooting-Victims Fund

PHOENIXSprouts Farmers Market and Sunflower Farmers Market have donated $100,000 to the Aurora Victim Relief Fund to benefit the immediate and long-term needs of victims of the mass shooting in Aurora, Colo., on July 20.

The contribution represents proceeds of the sale of excess equipment from Sprouts’ recent merger with Sunflower Farmers Market.

Sprouts Farmers Market has 146 stores throughout eight states in the Southwest, including 12 recently acquired Sunflower stores in Colorado, bringing the total number of stores in the state to 21. “This is our way of letting the community of Aurora know the family of Sprouts cares about them,” said Sprouts President Doug Sanders, in a statement. “This is what neighbors do for one another. We are proud to be Aurora’s neighbor and help them in any way possible.”
