Most customers visit supermarket prepared food departments at least occasionally, and about 39% said they do so “frequently” or “always,” according to a new study from Chicago-based Datassential. “Supermarket Prepared Foods: Evolution Toward a True Foodservice Model,” was based on an online survey of 2,037 regular supermarket shoppers and also included a survey of operators.
