Allegiance Retail Services said Wednesday that its has appointed Eugene Camiolo as category manager of frozen.
Camioli’s 28-year career in the supermarket industry began at Pathmark in 1986. Over the next 22 years, he worked a wide variety of positions and categories, ranging from field merchandising to system administration to dairy buyer and then senior category manager of dairy and frozen.
In 2008, Gene joined A&P as a senior category manager of GM/HBC/grocery and was promoted to director of dairy and frozen. In 2013, Camioli was promoted to his most recent position as director of general merchandise and HBC.
“Gene’s previous record of success, coupled with his extensive background in frozen, will be an invaluable asset to Allegiance. We are proud to have him on our team,” Steve Hungerbuhler, Allegiance VP of dairy/deli/frozen said.
