IDDBA to hire new CEO by August

The International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association is getting ready to hire a new president and CEO. The trade group said it has narrowed the search to a small group of candidates and plans to have a new CEO at IDDBA by Aug. 1.

The new leader will fill the role formerly held by Carol Christison, who passed away last spring after leading the trade group for more than 30 years.

“The selection of the right person to lead the IDDBA is the most important issue we will face this year,” said Bill Klump, IDDBA chairman of the board and CMO at Butterball, in a media statement.

“The search has been thorough with a team comprised of current members of the Executive Committee as well as several past Chairmen of the Board. We are positive we will find the right person for the Association who will help us to fulfill the IDDBA’s mission of being a relentless advocate and resource for the dairy, deli, and bakery categories,” Klump added.

IDDBA also announced the retirement of SVP Lucie Arendt.
