Supermarket Spending Jumps in June

ATLANTA — Same-store consumer spending in June via credit, signature debit, PIN debit, EBT, closed-loop prepaid cards and checks at U.S. supermarkets outperformed spending at all merchant locations, and represented an improvement from supermarket spending growth in May, according to “SpendTrend” data compiled by First Data Corp.
