H-E-B Gears Up for Whataburger's Arrival

SAN ANTONIO — H-E-B is counting down the days until Whataburger condiments arrive on its shelves.

“8 Days to Go,” the retailer posted on its Facebook page Friday in anticipation of the launch of Whataburger mustard, and regular and spicy Ketchup.

Hundreds of H-E-B’s Facebook followers voiced enthusiasm over the arrival of the line, especially the spicy ketchup. “I have been hoarding spicy ketchup packets every time I go to Whataburger because it’s limited,” one person wrote. “Can’t wait.”

As reported, the condiment line from the San Antonio–based Whataburger hamburger chain will be bottled exclusively for H-E-B stores in Texas and Mexico. H-E-B will carry both of Whataburger’s ketchup varieties: Fancy Ketchup and Spicy Ketchup, in 20-ounce bottles, and its Original Mustard in 16-ounce bottles.

H-E-B will also add a new product based on Whataburger’s iconic brand called Whatafries, a potato chip version of the French fry, cut from real potatoes and available in 7.4-ounce bags.
