SAN ANTONIO — H.E. Butt Grocery Co. has introduced “Healthy at H-E-B,” a program that provides tips on eating right, exercising, smart shopping and more.
As part of the program, found here, the retailer launched Healthy Savings— deals that feature savings on ingredients to make better-for-you meals.
Also part of the effort is a four-person panel that creates and promotes health recommendations. The health panel includes two H-E-B dietitians, an H-E-B wellness coach and a pharmacist.
On Jan. 9, the retailer will launch the “Slim Down Showdown,” a contest in which 25 contestants will compete to lose weight. The winner will get $10,000.
