Kroger Hosting 'Giving Hope a Hand' Breast Cancer Campaign

CINCINNATI — The Kroger Co. here, in partnership with many of its suppliers, is participating in the “Giving Hope a Hand” promotion to raise money for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization. During the two-week campaign, pink tags will be displayed on all participating products in Kroger stores across the country until May 5. Each time customers purchase these products they will be supporting breast cancer awareness in their community, according to Kroger. The retailer and its vendor partners have pledged $2.5 million to assist regional Komen affiliates in raising breast cancer awareness through research, education, screening and treatment. Several Kroger associates who are breast cancer survivors will be featured on the packaging of products this month, including Kellogg’s Special K cereal and Keebler Club Crackers.
