Fresh food trends increasingly play into what supermarkets do best, but consumers want supermarkets to do even better.
That’s the somewhat paradoxical message from consumers responding to the annual Whole Health Consumer Survey, an exclusive poll conducted in conjunction with “Supermarket Guru” Phil Lempert, a contributing editor at SN. More than 300 consumers representing a cross-section of shoppers nationwide participated in the survey, which was conducted online in July.
