BELLEVUE, Wash. — Coinstar, based here, has installed redbox automated DVD rental kiosks in all Albertsons LLC locations, replacing competitive DVD kiosk equipment.
With these latest 116 installations in Arizona, Florida and New Mexico, redbox is now available at 248 Albertsons locations across the country.
Albertsons merchandises several of Coinstar’s 4th Wall products, including self-service coin counting, skill crane machines, bulk vending and DVD rental, according to Gregg Kaplan, president and chief operating officer of Coinstar.
“Redbox is a great fit for our stores, and has proven to be a popular service that is convenient, easy to use and affordable. We’re delighted to now offer redbox in all of our stores,” said Bob Butler, Albertsons LLC senior vice president of marketing and merchandising, in a statement.
