MINNEAPOLIS — Supervalu’s Albertsons division participated in its first Groupon promotion, according to the company that managed the event.
Under the deal, shoppers could get five Healthy Choice frozen dinners for $9; or 10 for $16, both at a 60% savings, according to Incentive Targeting, Cambridge, Mass. Incentive provides targeted marketing web-based systems for retailers and consumer product marketers.
Once Albertsons’ shoppers purchased the deal, the offer was automatically loaded to their loyalty cards.
It is the first time ConAgra participated in a Groupon event, according to Incentive.
The offer ran in Albertsons’ Inter-Mountain West and Southern California divisions. Albertsons’ LLC stores did not participate.
