BATAVIA, Ill. — Aldi’s expansion into Texas begins with 11 store openings scheduled for March 19, the retailer here said. The 11 stores, located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, are the first of at least 27 area stores the discounter intends to open in Texas this year.
A second wave of 10 stores is to open April 23 and six additional stores are slated for a May 14 opening. Two stores in Texas — Sagnaw and Duncanville — are listed for a fall 2010 opening.
