WEST DES MOINES, Iowa – Hy-Vee is offsetting the cost of a gas grill by providing free barbecue food and supplies.
With each purchase of a Char-Broil four-burner gas grill for $179.98, shoppers get a coupon book filled with $180 worth of coupons.
The promotion runs for three days through Saturday. The grill features a side burner, stainless steel hood and Porcelain coated steel grates. Coupons include free Ziploc freezer bags, Butterball Chicken or Turkey Breast Strips; Lawry's Marinades; Weber Seasonings; Nathan's Franks; and McCormick Grill Mate Bottle Blends.
Hy-Vee has run similar promos in the past. Last summer, for instance, shoppers who purchased an Avanti or a Haier 1.7-cubic-foot refrigerator for $89.99 received coupons for $90 worth of free food and beverages.
Like the grill promo, the refrigerator/coupon offer was valid for three days.
