Brookshire Grocery Co. Raises $300,000 for Charities

The 22nd annual Brookshire's Benefit Golf Tournament netted $300,000 for children's charities, with simultaneous tournaments held at Cascades, Hollytree Eagle's Bluff, and Garden Valley golf clubs.

TYLER, Texas — The 22nd annual Brookshire's Benefit Golf Tournament netted $300,000 for children's charities on Monday, with simultaneous tournaments held at Cascades, Hollytree Eagle's Bluff, and Garden Valley golf clubs.

The event is one of the largest golf tournaments in east Texas, with nearly 500 golfers representing more than 150 of Brookshire Grocery Co.'s suppliers from across the United States.

Since its inception the tournament has raised $2.5 million for children's charities and programs such as Children's Miracle Network, Children's Advocacy Centers, CASA, Boys and Girls Clubs and numerous others.
