Couche-Tard Challenges Casey's

ANKENY, Iowa – Alimentation Couche-Tard on Monday challenged Casey’s General Stores to disclose the terms and conditions of its reported buyout offer from 7-Eleven, saying a failure to do so would expose it as a “smokescreen” for Casey’s board to gain shareholder support against a standing offer from Couche-Tard.

ANKENY, Iowa — Alimentation Couche-Tard on Monday challenged Casey's General Stores to disclose the terms and conditions of its reported buyout offer from 7-Eleven, saying a failure to do so would expose it as a "smokescreen" for Casey's board to gain shareholder support against a standing offer from Couche-Tard.

Casey's said Monday that its annual meting of shareholders will be held as scheduled this week.

Couche-Tard, the Montreal-based c-store operator whose offers to buy Casey's have been repeatedly rejected by the Casey's board, is running a opposing slate of directors at the meeting.
