Food Emporium is preparing to bring a “Taste of Québec” to shoppers.

NEW YORK — Food Emporium is preparing to bring a “Taste of Québec” to shoppers here.

Beginning May 28, specialty foods that “embody the ‘joie de vivre’ for which the Québécois are so well known” will hit store shelves, according to the retailer.

Brome Lake duck, Atkins & Frères smoked fish, Alexis de Portneuf hand-crafted cheeses and maple syrup from Möpure and La Ferme Martinette will be among the items featured.

“Québec boasts fertile plains, mixed forests, rugged seacoasts and abundant natural resources, providing the ideal setting for the production of a tremendous variety of products, including meats and poultry, artisan cheeses, fresh produce, seafood and baked goods,” Food Emporium said.
