SALISBURY, N.C. — Food Lion’s latest “Breakfast Club” mobile offer is a $1-off Food Lion-brand instant oatmeal.
The offer, available through Tuesday, is given to all those who text “oatmeal” to 467467.
It’s the latest in a series of breakfast-themed, mobile-marketing offers the retailer has run for the last month. Savings are automatically downloaded to shopper loyalty cards.
Offers rotate weekly. Other participating brands include Aunt Jemima, Folgers, General Mills and Johnsonville. There’s a one-item limit, and shoppers must use their loyalty card to get the savings. Among past offers: Those who texted “waffle” received a coupon for $1 off the purchase of any two packages of Aunt Jemima waffles, and those who texted “sausage” received $1 off a 16-ounce package of Johnsonville breakfast sausage.
“Save more today on these family-favorite breakfast products,” Food Lion states.
In other mobile-marketing news, the retailer is offering a free Hershey’s milk chocolate bar, 1.55 ounces, to those who text “Hershey” to 467467, also through Tuesday.
“Celebrate summer with free chocolate from Hershey and Food Lion,” Food Lion writes in promotional materials. “Text today. Save tomorrow.”
