SALISBURY, N.C. — Food Lion is running a barbecue-themed sweepstakes to encourage more shoppers to sign up for and read its e-newsletter.
Those who click “enter” on the “Griller’s Toolkit Sweeps” button on the “Food Lion Shoppers' Companion” email newsletter are automatically entered into the contest.
Prizes include a Kingsford grill, grilling cookbook and tent. Winners also get a Food Lion private-label “Home 360” silicone barbecue tool set (basting brush, turner and tongs) and a $35 Food Lion gift card.
“Get grillin’ this year with a little help from Kingsford, Home 360 and your Food Lion Shoppers’ Companion,” reads the copy in the promotional materials.
Five winners will be announced each week through May 4.
