PUYALLUP, Wash. — Workers at a Fred Meyer warehouse here have reached a tentative agreement with the chain on a new labor contract, according to the union representing the employees.

The agreement, covering 362 workers, comes just a few days after the workers voted to authorize a strike. Workers are set to vote on the proposed agreement Oct. 15 and 16.

Last month the union, Teamsters Local 117, had filed unfair labor charges with the National Labor Relations Board against Fred Meyer, which is owned by Cincinnati-based Kroger Co., accusing the company of 10 violations of federal labor law.
