FreshDirect Promotes Low-Cal for New Year

NEW YORK — FreshDirect is once again promoting its 500-calorie meals as part of a New Year’s resolution theme. The online grocer lists 25 low-calorie meals for delivery that have either been created in-house by the company’s chefs and nutritionist under the Smart & Simple brand, or developed with EatingWell Magazine or local chef Gloyd Cardoz of Tabla.

The online grocer lists 25 low-calorie meals for delivery that have either been created in-house by the company’s chefs and nutritionist under the Smart & Simple brand, or developed with EatingWell Magazine or local chef Floyd Cardoz of Tabla. The company launched the 500-calorie offerings in 2005, and promotes them annually around the holidays.
