Giant-Carlisle Debuts New Prototype

Giant of Carlisle debuted a new prototype layout and decor package for the chain.

MOUNT JOY, Pa. — Giant of Carlisle opened its newest store here Wednesday, debuting a new prototype layout and decor package for the chain.

The 50,000-square-foot store in Lancaster County was designed so as to showcase perishable departments in a "vast perishables hall" including produce, deli, meat, seafood and bakery departments. A "vibrant" interior decor package better highlights product offerings, Giant officials added.

The store also features a dedicated natural and organics department under the Nature's Promise Marketplace brand, and healthy products throughout the store are highlighted with the Healthy Ideas shelf tags.

Technology features include Easy Scan and Easy Weigh, and a Shopping Solutions kiosk. The store also includes a fuel station. Giant is a division of Ahold USA.
