PITTSBURGH — Giant Eagle here expanded its foodperks! — reward savings on food through fuel pump sales at Get Go locations — to shoppers in the Pittsburgh market this week.
The program runs concurrently with Giant Eagle’s fuelperks! reward savings on fuel based upon shoppers’ food purchases.
Foodperks! was launched in November in Columbus, Ohio. Besides Pittsburgh, it is available in Johnstown and Altoona, Pa., locations, as well as in West Virginia stores.
The chain plans to roll the program out to the remainder of Giant Eagle locations by the end of the year, according to a company official. With foodperks!, every 10 gallons of fuel pumped at GetGo locations with the
Giant Eagle Advantage Card will earn customers a 1% discount off the price of a single trip’s basket inside any Giant Eagle supermarket. The foodperks! rewards are cumulative and, just like fuelperks! rewards, are electronically tracked on the Giant Eagle Advantage Card to maximize customer convenience.
