Giant Eagle, Workers Reach Tentative Deal

PITTSBURGH — Giant Eagle has reached a tentative contract agreement with 5,800 union workers at its stores in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

PITTSBURGH — Giant Eagle has reached a tentative contract agreement with 5,800 union workers at its stores in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

The workers, represented by United Food and Commercial Workers Local 23, are expected to vote on the deal this Friday, union officials said. The tentative agreement came after two rounds of negotiations last week for a new deal to replace the current agreement set to expire this week.
