Glen’s Markets Expands Generic Discount Program

Glen’s Markets expanded its generic discount program to its northern Michigan stores earlier this month.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Glen’s Markets here expanded its generic discount program to its northern Michigan stores earlier this month.

In the program, Glen’s Markets pharmacies sell 30-day supplies of more than 300 generic drugs for $4 and 90-day supplies for $10.

The grocer launched the program throughout its stores’ pharmacies starting in November 2008 and it is now offered in all of its locations, according to Glen’s spokeswoman Jeanne Norcross. Glen’s Markets’ parent company, Spartan Stores, also launched the generic discount program in its other Michigan banners’ pharmacies.
