MATTHEWS, N.C. — Along with an oral-care club and fresh fish club, Harris Teeter is running another unique loyalty program: a sub club, and it won't be ending until Dec. 31, 2010.
Every time shoppers use their loyalty cards to purchase a half or whole submarine sandwich or wrap with their loyalty card, they will receive “sub” points. They’ll get one point with the purchase of a half sub or wrap; two points with the purchase of a whole sub. When shoppers earn 15 points, they can get a free whole sub or wrap on their next visit. Points are tracked on every receipt.
Subs can be purchased at “The Sub Shop” located in Harris Teeter's fresh foods department.
A cold half sub retails for $3.99, whole, $6.99; hot half sub, $4.99, hot whole, $6.99. Shoppers can have their subs made-to-order by choosing their bread (including white, wheat or three-cheese); dressing (including mayonnaise, mustard and Dijon horseradish); meat (including tuna, turkey, roast beef and Philly cheesesteak); and toppings.
