WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — In addition to its existing $4 generic prescription program, Hy-Vee is now offering generics for a low as $2 for UnitedHealthcare Medicare plan members.
Under UnitedHealthcare’s new Pharmacy Saver program offered exclusively at Hy-Vee pharmacies, members get reduced costs on 30-day supplies of dozens of generic prescriptions, including penicillin, albuterol and hydrocortisone.
Costs are at or below plan copays — as low as $2. The discounts are valid through the coverage gap and apply to both stand-alone Prescription Drug Plans and Medicare Advantage plans that include prescription drug coverage.
Hy-Vee already offers generic prescriptions on more than 400 generics for $4 for a 30-day supply and $10 for a 90-day supply.
