HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. — Kmart last week said it was planning to launch a double-coupon sale next month and was also marking down some food and HBC gift items after the holidays.
The “Double Coupon Event,” scheduled for Jan. 4-9, allows shoppers to gain twice the discount on manufacturers coupons worth up to $1 off.
The chain, owned by Sears Holdings Corp. here, also said it was offering 50% off holiday packaged candy, food gift sets, and bath and body gift sets.
