CINCINNATI — Kroger here on Wednesday said that Cindy Holmes has been appointed director of investor relations and Carin Fike has been appointed director and assistant treasurer, effective March 6. Fike will report to Kroger's treasurer, Scott Henderson; Holmes will report to J. Michael Schlotman, Kroger's chief financial officer.
Holmes, 42, began her career with Kroger in 1990 in the information systems and services department, and for the past 10 years was the company's assistant treasurer.
Fike, also 42, began her career with Kroger in 1999, and has been the company's director of investor relations since 2003. She was recently named the best investor relations officer in the grocery and retail drug industry by both the buy side and sell side in the 2010 Institutional Investor magazine rankings.
"Both Carin and Cindy have made significant contributions over the years in their respective positions at Kroger, and I look forward to their continued contributions in their new positions within the corporate finance department," Schlotman said in a statement.
