COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Kroger Co. division based here said last week it has launched a program called Power Priced, in which the chain reduced prices on commonly purchased grocery and household items at its 126 stores in Ohio and the Wheeling, W.Va., area.
“Through the Power Priced program, customers can expect to save 15% to 40% on foods they consume and household items they use every day,” said Bruce Macaulay, president of the division.
Products whose prices were reduced include Dole Classic salad (12 ounces), 98 cents; Kroger Tender Twist bread, $1; Kroger water (24-pack), $3.47; rotisserie chicken, $4.99; and Quilted Northern bath tissue (4 rolls), $1.99.
The company did not say how many prices had been reduced but said others will be added “as appropriate.”
