DALLAS — Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage is planning to open its 40th location here Tuesday with an array of festivities and an appearance by former local independent Roy Beard.
Lakewood, Colo.-based Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage, known for its extensive selection of vitamins and supplements, also carries an all-organic selection of produce among is 25,000 SKUs of natural and organic grocery products. The stores offer no shopping bags — reusable bags will be given out to customers until Sept. 26.
In addition to the appearance by Beard, whose Roy’s Natural Markets was located nearby until he closed up the business this month, the chain will also tout the grand opening Tuesday with raffles, giveaways and sampling demonstrations.
The family-owned chain has stores in Colorado, New Mexico, Texas Utah and Wyoming. The Dallas location, on Preston Road (at Forest Lane) in Dallas, is its fourth in Texas.
