NRF Honors Detective in Winn-Dixie Robbery Case

The National Retail Federation named Chris Rollan, a detective in the Helena, Ala., police department, as the winner of its 2010 NRF Law Enforcement Retail Partnership Award.

ATLANTA — The National Retail Federation named Chris Rollan, a detective in the Helena, Ala., police department, as the winner of its 2010 NRF Law Enforcement Retail Partnership Award. The announcement was made at Loss Prevention Conference and Expo at the Georgia World Congress Center here.

Rollan was instrumental in arresting members of a crime ring that had robbed 16 Winn-Dixie stores in the greater Birmingham, Ala., area in 2009.

NRF's Law Enforcement Retail Partnership Award is presented each year to individuals in the law enforcement industry who have gone "above and beyond the call of duty" to support the retail industry in its fight against retail fraud, organized retail crime and other major incidents that affect the retail industry, said an NRF statement.
