PLEASANTON, Calif. — Safeway has introduced better-for-you bread under its Eating Right brand. The Eating Right "Whole Wheat Sandwich Slenders" contain 90 calories per serving, 19g of whole grain and 6g of fiber.
"Kate," Safeway’s official blogger, wrote about how her children love using the bread as buns for their turkey burgers.
"The girls just started liking burgers and they love these thin 'buns,'" Kate wrote in Thursday's post. "Much easier for smaller mouths, and I love that they get more fiber in their diets."
