Sam's Club Introduces GNC Label

BENTONVILLE, Ark. — As part of an increased focus on health and wellness, Sam's Club will begin merchandising selected private label from General Nutrition Centers, Pittsburgh, it was announced Wednesday.

BENTONVILLE, Ark. — As part of an increased focus on health and wellness, Sam's Club will begin merchandising selected private label from General Nutrition Centers, Pittsburgh, it was announced Wednesday.

The offering will support Sam's Club's increased focus on health and wellness-oriented consumers through more robust offerings of natural supplements and sports nutrition items while increasing the visibility of GNC's specialty retailing brand with mass market customers.

This month about 400 Sam's Club locations will begin selling a 2-pound container of GNC Pro Performance AMP Amplified 100% Whey Protein, retailing for $18.98, and a 1.7-pound bottle of GNC Total Lean's Lean Shake, a diet product retailing for $22.98.

Both products are popular sellers among GNC's customers and will provide a significant value to Sam's Club members who are focused on maintaining and enhancing their health, Sam's Club officials said. Throughout the year, GNC will rotate pallets of its top-selling items in select Sam's Club locations.
