MODESTO, Calif. — Save Mart Supermarkets here said Wednesday it partnered with several other companies to present 10 mobile "fun centers" for use by sick children at four Central California hospitals.
The chain's partners were Nestle and California Pizza Kitchen, working with the Starlight Children's Foundation.
The fun centers — which combine a Nintendo Wii, a DVD player and a Sharp Aquos liquid crystal display television — can be used at a child's beside or in a playroom. Each device is valued at about $4,500.
