ST. LOUIS — Schnuck Markets here, in conjunction with Frieda's Specialty Produce, will host its latest "Produce University" course on winter citrus on Saturday, February 26.

Produce teams will be on-hand from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at all Schnucks and Logli locations in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, Tennessee and Mississippi to offer samples and helpful information on citrus varieties such as Moro Blood Oranges, Melogolds, Shasta Mandarins, Kumquats, Meyer Lemons and Pummelos.

Schnucks has partnered with Frieda¹s for several similar events in the past.

"Last year's 'Citrus University' was very well received, and we expect to see a great response from our shoppers this year as well," Mike O'Brien, vice president of produce for Schnucks, said in a release. O'Brien described the educational sampling event as "a great way for our produce teams to connect and build relationships with shoppers, while positioning us as expert resources."
