FRANKLIN, Va. — Minneapolis-based Supervalu is announcing today that all of its 12 retail banners will be participating in the Environmental Protection Agency’s GreenChill Advanced Refrigeration Partnership. The first of the banners to publicly declare its participation was Farm Fresh, Virginia Beach, Va. Farm Fresh made its announcement yesterday at the grand opening of a new store here where it is employing advanced refrigeration technology. The GreenChill partnership promotes green technology and practices meant to protect earth’s ozone layer and reduce emissions of greenhouse gases.
