LUBBOCK, Texas — United Supermarkets is helping shoppers get on the road to riches with a chance to win some of $3 million in prizes.
Its new “Road to Riches” sweepstakes is a collect-and-win game involving a game card and “mile marker” game pieces.
Players get a mile marker each time they shop at a United, Amigos or Market Street store or fuel station. They earn bonus mile marketers when they purchase specially tagged items, including Tostitos, Heinz Ketchup, Clorox bleach and Reddi Wip.
Players affix the mile markers on a corresponding area of the game card. Those who finish certain sections of the card can earn major prizes including $1 million, paid out in a 30-year annuity that pays $33,333 per year for 30 years without interest; a $100,000 vintage card; and a $35,000/2010 Hybrid Ford Escape.
The promotion runs through August 13.
