CLEARWATER, Fla. — A Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market store will open at the site of a former Winn-Dixie store here Wednesday, according to the Bentonville, Ark.-based retailer. The 40,000-square-foot store will employ 105 workers and will feature a selection of fruits and vegetables grown in Florida, as well as a drive-through pharmacy and deli, bakery and photo processing departments.
A Winn-Dixie store at the same location closed in 2006. Wal-Mart as of last August operated 21 Neighborhood Markets and 161 supercenters in Florida.
