Wal-Mart Pens Letter to Obama Regarding Health Care Reform

Wal-Mart Stores here, Service Employees International Union and Center for American Progress sent a letter to President Barack Obama yesterday addressing key issues in health care reform.

BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Wal-Mart Stores here, Service Employees International Union and Center for American Progress sent a letter to President Barack Obama yesterday addressing key issues in health care reform.

In the letter, the three companies wrote that three essential elements should be included in the health care reform legislation: an employer mandate, strong efficiency provisions and a ‘trigger’ mechanism to ensure cost reductions.
