JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Winn-Dixie Stores this week announced a partnership with rose supplier Passion Growers, which will supply the chain with an alternating supply of 100 varieties of specially grown, longer-lasting roses throughout the year. The company said it would launch the roses at an introductory price of $9.99 per dozen from Aug. 20 through 26. The company claims that its flowers will remain fresh at customers’ homes for about six days after purchase, due to the flowers’ breeding and improved cold-chain management techniques used during delivery.
