Grocery Outlet to grow ‘extreme value’ in conventional sites

SN's Growth List 2015: Grocery Outlet

Grocery Outlet is looking for a few good men. And their wives. Or vice versa.

“Husband-and-wife [store owner] teams tend to do well for us, since we’re a family-focused company,” Melissa Porter, VP of marketing for the Emeryville, Calif.-based bargain grocer, told SN.

Specifically, Grocery Outlet is seeking couples — or singles — with grocery know-how and an entrepreneurial spirit to own as many as 22 new stores scheduled to open this year.
