WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — If you see the cookie bandit, grab a glass of milk and enjoy some fresh-baked chocolate chip treats.
That’s the message Hy-Vee is delivering with the launch of the Hy-Vee Cookie bandit. The bandit is a woman dressed Zorro-style with an eye mask, hat and cape. She has been delivering cookie samples to area schools, religious institutions and business.
“The notorious Cookie Bandit has been delivering Hy-Vee's new bakery fresh cookies, Robin Hood-style, across the Quad Cities area,” Hy-Vee wrote on its Facebook page. “If you see the bandit, do not take action. But by all means, take a glass of milk.”
The Cookie Bandit is an innovative campaign to promote Hy-Vee’s new bakery cookies.
As reported in SN, Hy-Vee has revamped its fresh-basked cookies with new flavors and ingredients, including Ghirardelli chocolate. Flavors include M&M, peanut butter, snickerdoodle and molasses.
